2023 Stronger Together Recipient

We're pleased to share that this year's recipient of the Stronger Together Award is Sarah Rothenbuhler!

Sarah Rothenbuhler, owner of Birch Equipment Rental & Sales, took a struggling business in the construction industry and, through hard work and perseverance, has turned Birch into a nationally recognized local business with the 76th largest equipment rental fleet in the United States, with locations in Washington and Alaska.  

Rothenbuhler took her lean management approach and, with the Birch Golf Classic Board Members and Birch co-workers, has created the Birch Golf Classic. The tournament takes place annually, bringing businesses and the community together to benefit organizations that are making a positive impact with vulnerable people in harmful situations, including those who have been trafficked in the local sex trade.

Through Rothenbuhler and her team’s hard work with the Birch Golf Classic, she has helped raise over $2 million dollars in the last 9 years to support organizations in the effort to end sex trafficking.

Birch is regularly recognized as a Washington State Best Places to Work, a Top 100 Rental Company in the United States and a Top Washington State Corporate Citizen for Philanthropy.

The Stronger Together Award aims to recognize an individual or organization demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to collaboration and impact in the effort to end sex trafficking.

Sarah exudes an abundance mindset, always making efforts to connect people and ideas. She inspires collaboration and sharing of resources across groups and organizations that make a difference in our community.
