Everyone deserves to be loved.

When REST started in 2009, the majority of organizations turned away sex trafficking victims because the trauma experience was too complex and the symptoms too overwhelming, implying survivors didn't deserve exit services. We disagreed!

As we discovered gaps in existing services, we committed to building them, always informed by the people we served. This relationship-first and needs-based model has driven REST’s growth.

From early outreach to building relationships, REST has evolved into a vital service provider. Today, we offer a full continuum of care with survivor-centered, trauma-informed services for hundreds exploited in the sex trade annually.

As a Christian organization, we provide respectful services to individuals of all faiths. Our values focus on unconditional care, relationships, strengths, minimizing barriers, and walking with clients on their journey to freedom. Faith engagement isn't required; instead, we offer a healing environment where survivors can incorporate their own spiritual beliefs comfortably.

Our mission

We exist to expand pathways to freedom, safety, and hope in order to end sex trafficking.

Our Values

Belonging

At REST, this means that we seek to create an inclusive community that welcomes all, and through that sense of belonging communicates, “You are worthy of love.”

Honor

At REST, this means recognizing that we all have value, and we all deserve to be seen, known, heard, and accepted. We respect and celebrate the strengths and dignity of each individual.

Trustworthiness

At REST, this means that we seek to be truthful, honest, and reliable for our clients, community partners, other service providers, and supporters. We seek to demonstrate integrity and good stewardship in all that we do.

Tenacity

At REST, this means that we strive to be patient, resilient, and fervently hopeful. We fight for the individuals that we serve, refusing to give up, just as God, who loves us unconditionally, never gives up on us.
