Welcome

Thank you for your interest in REST. Here, you'll discover a brief overview of our efforts to end sex trafficking and provide pathways that support survivors as they move toward healing, stability and independence.

ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT IN SEATTLE, THOUSANDS WILL BE SOLD FOR SEX.

Roughly 2,000–3,000 women, men, and children are currently being exploited in the greater Seattle and King County area, with over half of them experiencing homelessness or residing in unstable housing.

The average age of entry of a minor into the sex trade is 15.

Imagine the unimaginable

Trapped in a cycle of abuse and exploitation, forced to perform sex acts day after day for money, with no apparent means of escape—this is the reality for hundreds of individuals, including women, men, and minors, right here in our own community.

No one should have to endure the trauma of sex trafficking. Over the past 15 years, REST has developed pathways to freedom, safety, and hope through a continuum of care. Our supporters understand that when they make a tangible commitment to our work, they are investing in life-changing programs to end sex trafficking.

For the first time in my life, hope outweighed my fear. I experienced warmth and acceptance. I finally felt safe.

REST exists to expand pathways to freedom, safety, and hope in order to end sex trafficking.

When REST started in 2009, many organizations turned away sex trafficking victims, deeming their trauma too complex. We disagreed, believing everyone deserves a life free from exploitation.

Rooted in the inherent dignity that every person deserves to be loved, this belief guides our work and helps us open doors to freedom. These open doors at REST have brought safety, hope, healing, and empowerment to thousands of sex trafficking victims and survivors.

Expanding nationally, we aim to empower nonprofits, forging partnerships to open doors to places of influence. We know that survivor leadership will drive change, pushing critical levers toward ending sex trafficking.

Survivor centric-SOlutions

REST provides services along a holistic continuum of unconditional care, striving to accompany survivors of sex trafficking at any stage of their healing journey. Through this continuum, our goal is to offer empowering support that helps survivors identify and achieve goals, facilitating their transition from entry to stabilization to independence.
